Old Town Scottsdale
On Sunday we went to an art fair in Scottsdale. Declan loved looking at all the crafts (yeah, right). Afterwards we drove down to Old Town and had a wonderful walk. It's styled like an old west town. We wondered around and enjoyed the sights. Then we walked into the city park and listened to a live band. Declan danced with Pop! He loved the music.

Four Months Old!
Our little sock monkey turned 4 months old in Arizona! I did his 4 month pictures down there and will take some with his monkey and bear over the weekend. He hadn't slept well the night before so he wasn't super smiley boy like normal in his pictures. Here they are:
Cousin time
One highlight of our trip was that we got to visit with some of our cousins. We drove 4 hours east to the small mountain town of Alpine. It was considerably cooler than Mesa, in the 30's. Lee Ann and Tony welcomed us to their beautiful home. We enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood, and saw all sorts of birds and critters. In the evening the raccoons came up on the porch to eat treats. They were very cute! We had a delicious enchilada dinner with tamales and corn bread. Declan and I went to bed early. Sleeping in the loft we could look out the window and see thousands of stars. It was truly amazing. In the morning Declan was kind enough to wake me for the sunrise! We enjoyed breakfast together and then headed back to the warm sun. Here is Lee and Tony with Tony's trophy elk!
Pool time
Super Declan
Declan loves to bounce on our legs and pretend he's Superman! He laughs and laughs whenever we do it. I was laying on the floor showing Grammy how much he loves it. She captured lots of smiles.

Declan's private "pool"
Since Declan can't go in the pool we took his bath tub outside and put him in his speedo. He splashed and kicked and had a great time! He got to be in the sun, too! I've been keeping him in the shade at all times so he really enjoyed it!

A rainy day in Mesa
After almost 90 straight days of sun, Mesa finally had rain! We were lucky enough to be here...or unlucky, I guess. We spent the rainy day exploring. We drove past ASU, looked at the Salt River, went to REI, and ate at Joes BBQ! It was delicious especially the root beer floats!
Rainy day nap
Driving by sun devil stadium
BBQ, root beer floats and a bottle!
Rainy days in Mesa can be fun too!
