Four Month pictures

  Last Friday Declan had his pictures taken by Trysha. Once again they turned out great!

After Declan's pictures with Trysha, we stopped by Grammy and Pop's house. Elias was there and we got to play a bit with him. Declan admired his crawling skills. I told Declan not to be in a hurry to crawl!

First cereal

Declan had his four month check yesterday. He weights 14lbs 6 oz now, which is the 20th percentile. The doctor says he's growing well and is great! I told her Declan has been reaching for our food and opening his mouth when we eat. Last night he had his first bites of cereal.

Last night we went to the arcade down on the waterfront to congratulate friends on their engagement. Declan got all dressed up and is wearing my Papa's hat, for just a minute. 

Subbing

I spent the last three days subbing for my friend's third grade class. I had a great time working with the kids. I got to eat lunch, without anyone pulling my hair, crying or wanting to eat! I even was able to use the bathroom all alone!! Pretty exciting, I know!

Declan spent the days with Grammy and Pop. He was a wonderful little boy and smiled, jumped and laughed the days away. Pop wanted to take him skiing on Thursday, but he's a bit too small!

Reflecting on the days, I really did enjoy being in the classroom but realized how lucky we are that I get to stay home and watch our little boy grow! I certainly missed him. It was hard to get home at 5:30, make dinner, feed him, and then kiss him goodnight. We hardly got to play or learn together. I'll continue to have those fun days subbing this spring, but I'll truly enjoy each day that I get to spend with Declan.

Goodbye Arizona, Hello Rain

Declan and I had a wonderful trip to Arizona. We spent two amazing weeks in the brilliant sunshine with Grammy and Pop. Brad joined us for three days at the end of our trip. Declan was a smiley, happy boy the whole trip. He filled our time in Arizona with joy! He looked at everything around him and loved being warm. Declan dipped his toes in the pool each day and splashed in his own pool. He went for many long walks, helped pick lemons, admired cacti, went to garage sales, jumped with Pop, smiled, laughed, squealed and screeched. While we were there he started to resemble the Michelin Man!

Declan was the perfect little traveler and slept both flights! Our flights weren't full so he was able to have his own seat each time.

We can't wait to travel to Arizona again!

Daddy has a sunburn

Brad arrived in Arizona to spend the weekend with us. He went hiking with Pop and got a sunburn. Declan did his best to help him feel better!
