Gardening Class

In the month of May Declan and I took a garden class at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens! We loved it. At the end of each class we got to walk in the gardens with the teacher and learn about the gardens. The first class was all about worms!
We enjoyed looking at worms, making worm soup, digging for worms reading, singing and sorting worms. We even got to eat a worm snack! YUM!

After class we had a picnic lunch together! Declan had a happy meal and I ate his fries!

The following week our class was about flowers! We planted flowers, counted flowers, did a flower puzzle, sang songs, learned the parts of a flower and made a flower snack!

The next class was all about butterflies. Mao joined us. We did butterfly puzzles, stories, sorting and more. Our teacher had real butterflies to release into the garden on our walk!

Zoo Day!

Declan, Mao and I enjoyed a beautiful zoo day together! I hadn't been in months since I'd been so sick. I loved being able to be there with them!

One of the giraffes is pregnant and due any day! We enjoyed looking at her tummy!

                                                                             Lions!

Mao had a few carousel coins, so we took a spin!

The highlight of our zoo day was seeing Yola playing! She is almost a year old now. We hadn't seen her so active before or so close to the glass. She played, and swung on branches and poked at her mommy, aunt and uncle!

Busy Tuesday

We met CC for lunch at Cristiano's. Declan loved his pizza, of course!

We also stopped to play at the park.

We drug poor Declan to the outlet mall, but at least there was a Snoopy fire truck to ride!

He was totally worn out after his busy morning.

Later that evening, I had a church meeting so Declan and Brad went to McMenamins to swim. We all met for ice cream at Baskin and Robbins. Declan can't wait to grow up and work there as an "ice cream girl." Yes, you read that right. Declan always makes up laugh when he orders ice cream. At home he always wants "ganilla" but at Baskin and Robbins he orders the most colorful ice cream he can find, the exact opposite of vanilla!
