Ice cream maniac

Declan is a total maniac for ice cream! We had a sleepover in Snohomish so Brad could study for an upcoming test. Sarah Beth, uncle Todd and Great Nana were with us at Grammy and Papa's house. After dinner Grammy said we could have ice cream. Declan got his own bowl and sat down to eat. He ate as fast as he could and then tried to eat mine. Well I stuffed mine in my mouth. He jumped off the couch spoon in hand and ran from Grammy to Great Nana to Todd to Sarah Beth begging for ice cream.  It was hilarious. Everyone gave him a bite, even Papa. He was in heaven and danced and shrieked.

Declan has had ice cream and popsicles before. however after swimming on Friday he had his first ice cream bar. Great Nana had it for him after lunch. He was supposed to share with me, but he gobbled the entire bar down. I got one tiny nibble.

Notice he's saying just one more bite, mommy, then I will share. That did not happen.... reminds me of his father! 

Bike ride!

On beautiful Sunday we rode our bikes after church to the park in Kenmore. Declan loved spinning around on one of the toys and going down the slide. Afterwards we rode back to 192 and enjoyed a beer in the sunshine. It was a beautiful day

Of course in the video he doesn't seem too happy in the spinner, but he kept wanting to go in it over and over. He would laugh and laugh. As soon as I got out the camera, he was all done!

An afternoon with Avery and Everett

We got to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon with Avery, Everett and of course their mom, Sam. The kids enjoyed playing outside while Sam and I "relaxed" in the sun and supervised.

Date night

Brad and I finally had a date night. We went to the Flatstick Pub in Kirkland to play miniature golf. Declan stayed home with Tatum and Marcy. He slept while they relaxed at our house. Of course I crushed Brad at miniature golf. We had a really good time and enjoy the fun night.

Declan and Uncle Todd

On April 16th Declan and I met Grammy and uncle Todd at the Snohomish garden center to get some vegetables for our gardens. Afterwards we went to the playground and played. Uncle Todd tried to teach Declan how to climb the rock wall. Then we headed home for lunch and to play outside while Uncle Todd and Grammy worked in the yard. Declan and I rolled down the hill, chased RJ and threw the ball.  Declan loved to run over and visit Todd to throw balls with him.

Owen and Oriana invited us over to their house to play with Declan. Several of Brad's coworkers came too and we all enjoyed pizza and rock band. Orianna and Declan really enjoyed playing the drums and singing together.
