4th of July Weekend!

For the 4th of July weekend, we once again headed to our cabin on Thursday night! Declan and I packed up the car while Daddy was at work. As soon as he arrived home we headed to the cabin. We had a spaghetti dinner with Grammy and Pop when we got there. Then we took the red wagon out for a ride to see the river. The river was the lowest we've ever seen and wasn't cold! We walked back to the cabin and Declan went to sleep.

The next morning we went for a short bike ride while waiting for Scott, Kristine and Elias to arrive for a hike. We played king of the stump in the back yard, too.  We also played football and basketball. We had lunch together. Once they arrived, they all went for a long hike. Grammy and I went down to the river and relaxed and floated in the water! It was wonderful.

When the hikers returned, we had tacos and let the boys play and play and play at the cabin. When Elias headed for home, Declan went to bed. 

The next morning we got up and went for a walk. Brad went mountain biking at Steven's while we played around the cabin. The Linns came over around 11. We ate lunch and played. Brad arrived back at the cabin so we all went to the river to splash and float the rest of the day away. Grammy came and got all the kids around 3:30 for a rest. The adults stayed and splashed for another hour and a half. Then we went back for pizza/ We headed off to the ball field for the fireworks after dinner. The kids had a wonderful time running and chasing each other all over the field. As soon as it was dark the firefighters started shooting off the fireworks! They were beautiful. Declan yelled wow! 

Sunday morning we headed into Skykomish to ride the train! Toot toot! It was so much fun. We rode at least 4 times then went for ice cream! 

We spent the rest of the day splashing in the river! It was a fabulous weekend!
