Party Time!

On June 26th we had a big 70th birthday party for Pop! Declan practiced saying "happy birthday old man" all week long!  We had about 25  guests to Mao and Pop's house in Snohomish for the celebration. The majority of the guests were family. Several special life long friends were also included. When guests arrived we asked them to have  picture taken in our photo booth using lots of Declan's dress up hats! Everyone enjoyed being goofy and were good sports about having their picture taken!

Memory Lane

We enjoyed delicious food including mini apple pies, carmel corn, cookies, fruit, veggies, pulled pork, beans and more!

Pop played a memory game where guests wrote down a memory and he had to guess who'd shared that memory about him. We all reminisced and laughed about lots of the memories.

It was a great birthday party!

Father's Day!

Brad asked for a Dutch baby for his father's day breakfast. Afterwards we loaded our bikes and went to Snohomish to meet Papa for a bike ride on the trail. We rode 12 miles and then played a little at the park on the way back. It was my first ride since my accident in August. I was a little nervous at first. After our bike ride we grabbed ice cream cones for a treat. Declan chose the best flavor: smores!
Then we went to Mao and Bop's to have turkey dinner with Great Nana, Uncle Todd, Aunt Sara, and Uncle Dan. Dinner was delicious. Todd planned after dinner activities of badminton and volleyball. It was hilarious to play together.
After more ice cream we came home to put together Brad's fire pit and make smores. We roasted a few marshmallows over the fire before heading in for the night.

Vollyeball

Brad plays volleyball on Tuesdays. Declan and I went down to Seattle to watch Brad play and play at the playground. Katy, Geoff and Beckett were there too. Beckett got to go on the swing for the first time. He loved it!
