Santa Seattle Day!

Yesterday Grammy and I took Declan to Seattle for our annual Christmas in Seattle day. First we looked at the beautiful Parade of Nutcrackers that the city puts out every year at Christmas time. Then we met Roberta, Auntie Kristine and Elias at Nordstrom and admired the pretty decorations. We walked over to Macy's and watched cousin Elias meet Santa and have his pictures taken. He was so sweet with Santa. We also saw Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer in their stable. Kristine, Roberta and Elias headed home and the three of us continued to walk around and enjoy the decorated stores and windows. Declan even had his late afternoon lunch in the changing room at The Loft! Then Daddy and Pops came to meet us. We headed back to Macy's and this time Declan got to meet Santa! He did a great job and didn't fuss or cry at all. Of course we fed him right before so he'd be a happy boy. Santa gave Declan a special pin to remember when he visited Santa for the first time. Next we headed over to the Sheraton to see the gingerbread houses built by local architects. The theme was nursery rhymes and Daddy's firm did London Bridge is Falling Down. The gingerbread houses were amazing of course. Afterwards we walked over to Fox Gems to see the beautiful teddy bear Christmas windows. My favorite is the sushi window. I wonder which will be Declan's favorite when he gets older. On the way back to the cars we had to go into the new Arc'teryx store and check out all the cool gear. Unfortunately they didn't have anything in Declan's size. After all every baby needs a $600 technical outdoors coat. We headed to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. It was Declan's first time there and I'm sure there will be many more visits to come. We were all tired after a long day!
